Meet The Staff

Al Waab Farm has assembled a team of experts in all aspects of caring for, breeding, training, showing and marketing our Straight Egyptian Arabian Horses. We have many decades of combined experience with horses and are always available to answer questions and help learn about the unique Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse! 

 

The Al Waab Farm staff is comprised of the hardest-working, most dedicated team to be found!

Executive Director - Shari Williams

 

With 9 years of experience in business management and marketing, Shari has made her mark working for and alongside both national and international brands in Australia and the United Kingdom. Specialising in strategic planning, finance management, communications, marketing,  project and people management to name but a few.


Shari brings exceptional business skills to Al Waab Farm. While having grown up on an Arabian Horse breeding farm in Australia, Shari has a love and great understanding of the breed, she also has the ability to take and combine these skills and experience, along with her true passion for all animals, and apply them to her role here at Al Waab Farm.


Shari has a BA in Communication-Public Relations & Organisational Communications from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

Breeding & Horse Manager - Jennifer Ogden

 

Jennifer Ogden has worked in a freelance position in Marketing, Promotions and photography for Al Waab Farm for the past 9 years, she joined the full-time team in the middle of 2018 as the Horse and breeding Manager. Jenni is a well known equine photographer, videographer and breeder of The Arabian Horse, having bred horses that have won major championships around the world, she brings many years experience in the Arabian Horse industry to the Al Waab Team.


Jennifer is also a graphic artist, fine artist and illustrator and designed the Al Waab Logo and also this website which features many of Jennifer's photos.


Jennifer offers over 40 years experience in horse management, including equine reproduction and general health care. Jennifer also managers the stallions stud book.


Operations Manager  - Ben Williams

 

Having served in the British Royal Navy for over 8 years, followed by 5 years experience in the Health and Safety industry, Ben brings a set of vast and unique skills to Al Waab Farm. 
 

Managing the day to day operations, from general maintenance, development projects, agriculture and landscaping, amongst others, Ben and his exceptional team ensure the farm runs at optimal levels each and every day of the year. 

 

Ben is qualified in Health and Safety, and Fire Risk and Safety Management to British National Standards, with a Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Stable Manager / Trainer - Elouise Lando

 

Elouise is a Rider, Trainer and Coach from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia. Elouise began riding before she could walk and fell in love with showing and dressage at an extremely young age.


By the time Elouise was a teenager she had already acquired many champions, Supremes and Australian champion titles in multiple disciplines including Side-Saddle, Western and Arabian Costume. Elouise was the Australian Arabian Youth of the year three consecutive years and then Young Ambassador of the year when she was 18 years old, winning her an exchange trip to New Zealand. 
 

Elouise has since gone on to Aquire her Australian Arabian Judging Qualifications, Along with her Equine Teaching and Coaching Certificates.

 

Head Veterinarian - Daniel Barbosa

 

We welcome Daniel to the Al Waab team, having graduated in Veterinary Science in 2002 he always been passionate about horses and breeding, and has a long history of working with Arabian Horses. 


Daniel has worked for some of the most famous Arabian Horse Breeding  farms in the world, including MidWest Arabians in the USA, Mulawa Arabian Stud in Australia where he headed their repro team for in excess of 10 years, and Arabian Soul Partners in Mexico.


Daniel also spent some time with Zerlotti Genetics. His passion has always been working with equine assisted reproduction, and we are excited to have him join the Al Waab Team.



Reproduction Lab Techs - Mahendra Kapate & Tabrez Ahmed TN

 

Mahendra Kapate (Mahesh) joined Al Waab team in 2011 as a Vet Technician, he is originally from Nagpur, India. Mahesh has a diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in 2007, Nagpur Veterinary University. Prior to joining Al Waab Farm Mahesh worked in Mumbai Equestrian Club from 2007-2009, then moved to Dubai (UAE) to work in a horse breeding farm from 2009-2011. He has a great deal of experience in horse reproduction, neonatology and clinics.

 

Tabrez Ahmed NT - Joined Al Waab Farm in 2010 as a Vet Technician, he is originally from Dharwad, India. He is also very experienced in horse reproduction, neonatology and clinics.
